It struggled a bit when it came across carpets with longer piles, and some thick, long mess of dried-on debris.
Like most robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box and needs only an initial mapping session to get it used to your home. After that, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or merged when needed. You can set virtual boundaries, as well as no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you do not want the robot to touch.
