The majority of robot vacuum and mop combinations can be customised using an application that is specifically designed for. You can save maps of your home, create cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. You can also alter the suction power, and how much water your mop uses.
A mapping function can help your robot navigate around rooms. A feature to avoid obstacles prevents it from running over furniture, wires, or stray toys. These are essential features to have in my home, which is filled with toys scattered around.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the company's flagship vacuum and mop, is packed with features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and even lift its mop pads or brushes to ensure that soft surfaces don't get too wet. It also can avoid obstacles by spotting pet toys, plants, and other small objects.
The robotic vacuum's maximum suction power is 6,000 pascals. This is higher than any other robot vacuum we've tested to date. It also comes with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, which tracks its location, preventing it getting stuck on a surface.
budget robot vacuum mopping capabilities of the S8 Pro Ultra are also impressive. It can continuously apply pressure to the pad of more than 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has an automatic mop lifting system, which will lift the pad as it moves from laminate to tile, hardwood to carpets and rugs to prevent soaking these types of soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad can be rinsed and dried in the dock and the dust bin will get emptied and automatically returned to it. This means that you can leave it in place and forget it, only needing to replace the dust bag or refill the water tank occasionally.
All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its standard vac- and mop-settings for around 160 minutes before beginning to lose power, and then returned to its base to recharge. This isn't that far from the 180 minutes Roborock claims, and is on par other hybrids I've tested.
This is a highly well-rounded and capable product, with the only downside being that it's pricey. But, the sheer number of features makes it a very appealing alternative for anyone who wishes to go away from their old stick vacuum and mop. We highly recommend this model when you can justify its cost.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium combination. Its premium price tag is justified by its impressive features, which include a large vacuuming capacity and two gyrating mops. It also comes with an app-enabled smart controller and powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mop combos available with a suggested retail price of 999 euros. In my testing it performed well across all areas of the house, removing 98.4 percent of the debris on all floor types and managing to lift long hair without getting caught in. The mops also performed well with excellent cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models. This was due to their rotational movement and a strong dose cleaning solution.
The docking station is the primary selling feature of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and advanced. The dock emptys its dustbin into dirt bag, then refills its water tank to enable the mopping function and even dry the mop pads for you. It also features a real-time safety detection system and allows you to schedule regular cleaning sessions using its smart controls.
Unlike the other hybrid vacuum mops that I tried, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced dirt pickup on carpets. Additionally the mops aren't capable at scrubbing away stubborn stains as those found in the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, which is the most expensive model. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's numerous top-of-the-line features, it requires regular care and maintenance. Its base station needs to be cleaned out and the water and dust tanks must be emptied, cleaned and dried regularly to avoid mildew and unpleasant odors. The mop pads that are sold separately will also require changing regularly.
With the L10S Ultra's pricey price tag and extensive functionality I would highly recommend it to anyone with the money for it. If you're on a smaller budget, I suggest considering a less basic model that allows you to save money while still enjoying clean hands at your home. It's important to remember that even the L10S Ultra is the best robot vacuum and mop you can buy however, its cost and maintenance costs will ultimately make it more of a desire than a need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that will remove dust and dirt on your hard floors, while cleaning up wet mess, then look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combo comes with a powerful suction power of 8,000 Pa. It also has a huge battery capacity that can be used for vacuuming as well as mowing. It's also fitted with an excellent obstacle-avoidance system. It even comes with an automatic mop that cleans itself while moving this makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-clean in order to clean the mop's pad.
The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a major difference from the microfibre pads and spinning discs used in other robots. The roller covers the entire length of the robot and it gets a constant supply of fresh, ozonated filtered water from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while taking in dirt. Dry debris is swept away with the side brushes or swept up into the front bumper. The S1 Pro then takes the mop water into its base station, which is then absorbed by the tank's heating elements before being dumped into a larger storage canister. The tank that is onboard is able to hold a large amount of water and take on up to a dozen mopping sessions before rushing out.
The S1 Pro comes ready to use out of the package as do most robotic vacuums/mops. The S1 Pro will need to be filled with clean water. This can be done using the cleaning dock. If you'd like to use your own cleaner, you can add cleaning solution to dock. If you decide to use this feature however, you'll have to purchase the Eufy-branded cleaning solution, which is more costly than other robot brands allowing users to select their own choice of cleaning solutions.
Like most robots that are available, the S1 Pro did well in the area of coverage and navigation efficiency. It was fast to map a room and it was able to navigate through furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a few times on carpets with longer piles and rugs during my tests however this could be improved as the software is updated. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for affordable prices.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum however it has some impressive features. Its multi-function dock drains the robot's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, as well as washing and sanitizing mop pads as it goes. The mopping system is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of an area before it has to return to its dock and the vacuum's high suction does a nice job of removing debris and pet hair on carpets.
The app that runs the appliance is quite dense, offering a wide range of options to customize the cleaning process. You can choose to manually start a full map and clean of everything that is mapped by the device or you can select specific rooms, expandable zones, or even a routine you've created. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It uses the sensors on the mop to map the space and determine the most efficient way to clean it.
The Qrevo performed well in our tests, just as all Roborock models we've evaluated. Its navigation system is solid, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning them in an organized fashion. The 'Normal' setting for pathing does an excellent job of covering a room, leaving no major gaps or missed areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is quite reliable, too however it's not as advanced as the color camera system on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can identify hazards such as thick carpets however it won't always be able to detect smaller items such as rug tassels or electrical wires.
affordable robot vacuum has a major problem: it doesn't offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for people who vacuum a lot before using their robot. Fortunately, there's a simple solution: the app offers an option to "clean up" at the end of each session. This allows you to use the mopping feature of the vacuum to eliminate the last traces of dust and debris that you've left behind from your vacuuming. This is a nice feature that helps this robot clean a little better than its competitors with lower prices.
