Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills and staining) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that it tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the history of cleaning on the app will reveal precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that displays the time when maintenance is required, such as emptying debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the most recent version. Unlike last year's model, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I encountered in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without using pads. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also comes with a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under furniture that is low-profile, making it an excellent choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive The X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. budget robot vacuum can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically cleans the dustbin and mop pads before refilling them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also detect whether the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning process, and there are many functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and feels robust and well built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
